About
A San Diego CDMO and supplier of microfluidic consumables, surface chemistry, and engineering integration for life sciences.
Trouver. To find.
Most of our work is finding: the geometry that keeps a channel from clogging, the chemistry that binds one target and nothing else, the process change that turns an unreliable yield into a reliable one. Customers rarely arrive with a finished drawing. They arrive with a problem.
I learned to find and solve problems like these on flow cells for next-generation sequencing, where a few microns of tolerance decide whether an instrument reads a genome or reads noise, and where a design that works once is worth little if it can’t work ten thousand times. Those were years spent taking devices from a whiteboard sketch through to parts shipping in volume, watching all the while where even good designs quietly come apart.
One lesson outlasted the rest: in microfluidics, geometry and chemistry are the same problem wearing two hats. Send the fabrication to one vendor and the coating to another, and you’ll spend the project arbitrating between them instead of solving anything.
Trouvera is the lab that lesson built, and the name carries the same two hats: trouver, to find, and vera, to prove true. We built the capability to make and prove both under one roof, so the hardware and the chemistry are never someone else’s problem to reconcile. Move a channel wall and the coating is re-tested against it the same week, not the next quarter.
Why us
Most consumables vendors do one of these things. Doing them together is the reason parts come out faster and work sooner.
